Aberystwyth Ramblers celebrated the launch of a book and receiving a prestigious award at an event earlier this month.
The group held a celebration at Ceredigion Museum on Friday, 9 August, after being named the Best Walking Neighbourhood in Wales for 2019.
The evening also saw the launch of a book, Twenty one half-day walks in the Aberystwyth area, dedicated to a former group member who passed away.
Terry Lynch, who drew the cartoons featured throughout the book, passed away in 2016.
During his retirement he devoted his spare time to Aberystwyth Ramblers and in his memory, his family decided that the money donated at his funeral should be forwarded to the group.
Aberystwyth Ramblers used the money to produce the book, which is available in local shops.
The evening saw an opening address by group chair Roy Haynes followed by a slide show from Michael Deaville.
The mayor of Aberystwyth, Cllr Mari Turner also gave a speech.
