A CHEQUE for over £2,000 has been handed to the Wales Air Ambulance following a successful Boxing Day dip in Aberdaron.
A large number of hardy souls braved the icy December sea for charity and this week, the organisers presented Lynne Garlick, fundraising development manager at Wales Air Ambulance, with a cheque for £2,199.31.
One of the hard-working group of organisers, Iain Roberts, said: “Last year’s dip was once again a great success with a good crowd of homeowners as well as visitors turning out to support either by swimming or supporting the brave one’s who ventured into the cold sea, so it’s one big thank you to all that made last year’s dip such a success.”
