A LLANYBYDDER bride-to-be refused to panic when she discovered she’d forgotten her wedding flowers on the way to the register office.

Helen Evenden, 39, coolly directed her luxury limo to the Carmarthen branch of Lidl and bought a bouquet there!

“In I went to Lidl in my wedding dress and with my purse, got three lots of white roses for £7,” she said afterwards.

“We parked in the Lidl car park in this big limo and one customer even asked me ‘are you for real?’ when I went to the till to pay for the flowers.”

The sight of a bride-to-be at the checkout prompted a few double-takes from shoppers, and one staff member asked to take a photo of her at the till.

“It was a little unusual I suppose,” laughed Helen.

She duly proceeded to the register office in Carmarthen to marry her fiancé, Jason, before a reception at the Black Lion Hotel in Llanybydder with their daughters Soffia and Efa, along with family and friends.
