Madam,

Having just paid £33 to have my garden waste collected throughout 2017 may I make a suggestion to whoever plans the dates for collection?Being a keen gardener I find that my waste is minimal during the winter months of December, January, February and March and so I do not use my brown bin. The months of August, September, October and November are the months when my brown bin is used to capacity. Therefore my suggestion is that no collections are made in the winter months and that weekly collections are made during the autumn months.

This year during the autumn months I have had a full-to-bursting brown bin every week and have also taken more than 30 bags of waste to the recycling centre in Rhoslan.

So let’s have more thoughtful planning for 2017.
