CHARLIES opened the doors to its new store on the outskirts of Aberystwyth last week, creating 35 new jobs.
Adding to their roster of seven stores across Wales and the borders, Charlies has taken over the former B&Q site in the Parc-y-llyn retail park.
The store was officially opened to a crowd on Saturday, 5 November, by Geraint Jenkins, who has worked at the original Charlies shop in Cambrian Place for over 28 years and by long-time friend of Charlies, local businessman Cledwyn Evans. As well as the official ribbon cutting there was free face painting, competitions, offers and the RNLI were involved.
“We have been blown away by people’s response and support for the new store. Everybody has been so kind with their comments and we have received incredible feedback. The opening weekend exceeded all of our expectations and we’re so grateful for everyone’s support,” said Rebecca Lloyd, Managing Director Designate, Charlies.
Charlies is also keeping its store in Cambrian Place open for business.
