A Pwllheli holiday park is to create a further 40 permanent jobs.
Going across a range of park functions from security to accommodation, leisure to catering, the annualised roles will provide further stability to a number of local people who have worked at the park.
“We are delighted that we are able to provide these annualised contracts to our team members,” said Andrew Baker, general manager at Hafan y Môr.
“We do run a seasonal business so we will still have a large amount of temporary contracts over the summer, but we are delighted that we can provide this stability to more of our local team.”
This will take the number of permanent team members at the busy Hafan y Môr park to over 100 which has seen a fantastic year with the development of the new Dragon Lakes Adventure Village and the Coasthouse restaurant, Glendower pub and new owners facilities. The investment of over £13m followed work in 2019 of the new swimming pool complex.
“Hafan y Môr is a key part of Haven’s business and we are very committed to north Wales and Gwynedd in particular,” said Andrew Baker.
“The new contracts will provide more stability for local people and provide them with the opportunity to be part of a bigger leisure company which has great development opportunities, should they wish to build their career further in the tourism industry.”
