THE FUTURE is even brighter a Tywyn-based food company following a £9 million deal.

Brighter Foods, who employ over 170 staff, have sold an 84 per cent stake in the company to ‘Real Good Food’.

“We’ve been looking for a business which shares Brighter’s commitment to its products, its people and the community where it’s based, and we’re delighted to have found that in Real Good Food,” says Brighter’s founder Robin Williams who will continue with the company as CEO.

“Their team share our vision to invest in Brighter and to grow it further from the strong base we’ve established.

“We’ve already mapped out plans for the next few years, and are looking at the option of buying land to create a new facility in the town.”

Real Good Food – which is acquiring an 84.3 per cent interest in Brighter – is a successful food business serving a number of market sectors, including cake decoration and ‘premium’ bakery.

Their executive chairman Pieter Totté is someone Robin Williams has known for years and worked with previously.

Robin and some of the senior management at Brighter will retain a stake in the business.

“Robin and his team have achieved fantastic growth and stability in Brighter Foods,” added Pieter Totté.

“Our investment will enable the company to expand and improve its capacity and product range even further.”
