Local producers are gearing up for the return of the popular Aberystwyth Farmers’ Market this weekend – at a new location.

The popular market which traditionally is held along North Parade had to close due to coronavirus restrictions but will return this weekend along Park Avenue.

The market will be held on the first and third Saturday of every month, starting on Saturday, 7 August, at 10am at the old Arriva bus depot.

This temporary change of location is due to the fact that the safe zones are in place in the town centre, where the market is usually held.

Visitors will be able to see many of the regular stallholders, as well as many new ones.

They are eager to come back to Aberystwyth after a difficult time. Shoppers will also be glad to see the Market back and are thanked for continuing to respect social distancing and also wearing a face mask while shopping to keep everyone safe.

Market organisers called the reopening “fantastic news”, adding: “It is walking distance to town and plenty of parking nearby.

“We can’t wait to see you all.

“We’ve missed you all terribly.”

The Aber Food Hub Click and Collect Service will continue from the old depot site.
