A major redevelopment of a Land Rover and Hyundai dealership in Aberystwyth has won praise from Ceredigion County Council.
Shukers Land Rover has invested heavily to bring its sister Parc-y-llyn site up to date by creating separate facilities for its two brands, with a bespoke building redesigned to meet the Land Rover arch concept for 2020, while the Hyundai brand has its own dedicated dealership on site.
Ceredigion County Council’s Cabinet member responsible for economy and regeneration, Rhodri Evans, said: “I welcome this new investment in Aberystwyth and the jobs that it safeguards.
“It’s a real show of confidence in the county and the local workforce.
“Boosting the economy is a corporate priority for Ceredigion County Council and we are eager to work with businesses to support the growth of the Ceredigion economy.”
Shukers head of business, Neil Parry, said: “Work has been going on for the past six months and we now have brand new showrooms together with amazing support facilities.”
An open weekend was held at Shukers Aberystwyth where both business and private customers were treated to refreshments and guided tours of the new facilities and showrooms.
