LOCAL MP Mark Williams paid a visit to Labco, an innovative medical company in Lampeter that provides non-invasive diagnostic test kits and employs 22 local people.
The company, which has been based in Lampeter for the past four years, has grown and now produces four million test kits going to countries such as Sweden, Australia and Cuba, with 90 per cent of their products being sold to other countries and around 30 per cent of their exports going directly to Europe.
Mr Williams said: “It was great to see the fantastic work being done at Labco by all the staff, providing extremely important medical test kits which are in high demand around the world.
“These are the kind of high- skilled jobs which are desperately needed in Ceredigion, and I certainly hope that more companies will see this as a great place to locate their businesses.
“It is always great to see a local business perform so well globally, and I wish them all the success for the future.”
