A MUCH-LOVED business is closing its doors and owners have thanked their customers for their “loyalty and support”.
After successfully running their award-winning craft shop ‘Criss X Stitches’ in Tywyn for 15 years, owners Margaret and Keith Lathwell have decided to enjoy a welcome retirement.
The shop will commence closing down next week with a sale on Thursday, 2 November, before the shop finally closes in mid December.
The Lathwells said: “We would like to sincerely thank all our loyal customers, both local and visitors, not only from the UK but also from many overseas countries.
“Since we took over the shop in 2002, we have introduced patchwork which is a thriving hobby for many, to add to the successful cross stitch and tapestry business.
“Our workshops and regular clubs during the period have been very successful and this has allowed us to forge many lifelong friendships.
“During the same period, we have been successful in winning the “Craft, Hobby & Stitch International” award for the best craft shop in Wales for eight out of 10 years.
“Thank you to everyone who helped make that happen.”
