An Aberystwyth business has been announced as one of the winners of the Welsh Independent Retail Awards 2019.

Driftwood Designs won the Specialist Retailer of the Year award at the ceremony which welcomed over 200 guests at The Exchange Hotel in Cardiff in an attempt to reward the Welsh independent retailers for serving and enhancing our communities.

The black-tie ceremony was hosted by the award-winning broadcaster, Polly James.

She welcomed on stage hard-working individuals who have shown amazing entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen which lies behind the thriving industry that employ hundreds of people.

The awards acknowledged the contributions of the country’s independent retails to the overall economy as well as the wide range of diversity that is present in this sector.

They also recognised individuals that own smaller chains, whose work is often overshadowed in the bigger landscape.

The Welsh Independent Retail Awards 2019 rewarded talented professionals who have made it their mission to supply the best of everyday products to their customers and meet their needs. 

The winners are a true reflection of the excellence and high standard that feature in the country’s independent retail industry.
