North Wales ferry passengers will be pleased to hear duty-free shopping has returned to the Irish Sea.

Stena Line passengers can now benefit from up to 50 per cent off products on the Holyhead to Dublin route.

After a 21-year absence, duty-free shopping is now available following the United Kingdom’s exit from the European Union.

As well as up to 50 per cent savings off high street prices on alcohol there’s also up to 35 per cent off perfume and skincare.

Stena Line’s head of onboard sales and services, Stephen Bryden said: “Whilst Brexit has created uncertainty in a number of areas, we are delighted to be able to offer our customers the significant benefits now open to them with the reinstatement of duty-free shopping when they travel from the UK to Ireland.

“Our passengers can now take full advantage of lots of fantastic bargains in our onboard shop without paying additional duty.

"At Stena Line we pride ourselves on putting the customer first and having a duty-free shop offering on our Holyhead to Dublin and Fishguard to Rosslare routes only enhances the overall customer experience.”
