A fish and chip shop in Lampeter is the latest in a string of Ceredigion businesses to be warned they face closure if they don’t follow Covid guidelines.

The Oh My Cod takeaway has been given a premises improvement notice by Ceredigion County Council’s public protection officers "due to non-compliance with the Health Protection (Coronavirus Restrictions) (No 4) (Wales) Regulations 2020".

The business has been warned it is required to make improvements to safeguard the public’s health and well-being as part of the coronavirus regulations.

The improvement notice requires the business to "provide or require the use of personal protective equipment and face coverings by persons working on the premises" and warn that failure to comply with the notices can result in a premises closure notice being issued.

These measures will need to be implemented by 10am on Friday, 11 December.
