A NEW food festival is a mouth-watering prospect for residents on the Llyn Peninsula.
A delicious range of goods and treats should be available to Pwllheli residents next year as a newly-established group looks to build community links.
At a meeting held on Tuesday, 31 July, including the town’s county councillors Dylan Bullard and Hefin Underwood, it was decided that a food/music event would be great news for the whole area.
“The aim of the event would be to promote local food and drink suppliers, providers and vendors from the local area,” said a spokesperson for the new group.
“It will provide local business the opportunity to showcase their produce and businesses to a wider audience.
“In addition, it will also promote community spirit in the town.”
Planning for the festival has already started the group are aiming to launch the event in the spring/summer of 2019.
“An exact date will be confirmed soon.
“With any event of this kind, we will of course be seeking assistance from the wider community,” continued the spokesperson.
“In the coming weeks, we will be arranging further meetings and we would urge any individual who could assist the group in any way to get in touch.
“Also, if you are a food and drink producer, supplier or vendor in the Pwllheli and Ll?n Peninsula area and would be interested in partaking in the festival, please let us know.
“We are very excited at the prospect of holding such an event in Pwllheli and hope to gain as much support for it over the coming months.
“We will be developing a website very soon but in the meantime, you can contact us by emailing to [email protected]u”
