A FORMER bank in Abersoch is set to be transformed into a café and ice cream parlour if plans are given the go ahead.
In June 2015 Natwest announced it was to close its Abersoch branch, leaving the village without a single bank, with the nearest being six miles away in Pwllheli.
The applicants, M A & J L Pollitt, have submitted a change of use application to Gwynedd Council to turn the former bank into a shop and ice-cream parlour.
The plans also include a café on the ground floor and a flat on the first floor.
It is expected to create two full time positions and three part-time jobs during the summer months and one full time job and two part-time positions during the winter.
A decision will be made on the application by Gwynedd Council’s planning department in the near future.
