A PWLLHELI beer retailer is celebrating after scooping a top award for the second time.

Gwin Llyn Wines was crowned Wales’ Regional Retailer of the Year at the Celebrate British beer Awards at the House of Commons on Sunday, 16 October.

Several MP’s, including Dwyfor Meirionnydd Liz Saville Roberts, attended the event, which was organised by trade magazine Off Licence News, to celebrate the retailers both big and small that are making the biggest contribution to championing our national drink.

Dean and Margaret Pritchard, who run Gwin Llyn Wines in the town, said they were delighted with their win.

They said: “We are really amazed to have won Wales Retailer of The Year for the second time.

“We would like to thank all our customers for their continued support and loyalty of our small independent shop - ‘siop lleol’.

“We are also celebrating 10 years of trading in November, and our annual wine tasting event will be held on 4 November.”
