THE Cambrian News has once again been nominated for a series of prestigious awards.

The newspaper and two of its reporters are in with a chance of winning honours at this year’s Wales Media Awards.

The Cambrian News has been nominated for the title of Weekly Newspaper of the Year which it also won last year.

Reporter Chris Betteley has been nominated for the Political Journalist of the Year award and the title of Print News Reporter of the Year.

Reporter Caleb Spencer is in the running to be crowned Student Journalist of the Year for his work in Cardiff University’s paper The Cardiffian prior to joining the Cambrian News’ editorial team.

The winners will be announced by BBC news presenter Huw Edwards at a glittering awards ceremony in Cardiff in early March.
