A CHARITY campaign to support a little girl and her favourite charity is now looking to treble their initial target of £2,000.

Team Elena, a group supporting Elena Kay, a three-year-old with a rare growth deficit condition, have already smashed through the £5,000 mark following a wine tasting and auction night held at Gwin Dylanwad Wine last weekend.

Elena’s mother Olwen is raising the money for the Child Growth Foundation following the help her family received since her daughter’s diagnosis with Russell Silver Syndrome, a rare condition which causes Elena to physically develop at a slower rate than her peers.

The charity night, alongside some other kind donations from Team Elena advocates, raised well over £1,500 with Olwen hoping to collect £6,000 after she competes in the Vitality London 10k at the end of the month alongside a group of friends.

“We are honestly overwhelmed by the support and generosity which has led to us now looking at the realistic possibility we could triple our target,” said Olwen, after the weekend’s success.
