CAN you identify the people in this picture?

Aberystwyth historian Will Troughton has written to Timewatch on behalf of Nigel Hopkins to see if the people can be identified.

“Nigel sent me the enclosed photo taken in front of the National Library and has asked me to send it along to you,” Will explained.

“He has no idea what the occasion was, though it appears to be a choir. The only person positively identifiable is Mrs Jones-Davies who taught Music at Ardwyn School. She is to the right of the lady with white hair and spectacles near the centre of the photo.”

He added: “My guess is that it is a local choir who perhaps competed at the 1952 National Eisteddfod in the town.”
