JODIE Grinham, a Paralympic silver medalist who is originally from Cardigan, was welcomed home by Ceredigion AM Elin Jones and others at a celebration for the Olympic and Paralympic heroes who starred in Rio this summer.

Jodie gained world recognition after securing Paralympic silver in the mixed team archery compound.

Miss Jones said: “It was a special pleasure for me to join Cllr Dai Mason in welcoming Jodie to the National Assembly, and to congratulate her on her personal success.

"We both agree that she has put Ceredigion on the sporting map.”
