Madam,
I am obliged to respond to your two correspondents of 10 October regarding Brexit.
I voted to remain though not passionately as suggested. I voted to remain because, unlike those who voted to leave, I had no idea at the time of the ramifications of leaving. Those who voted to leave claim they want to regain their sovereignty. How is this to be achieved when vast amounts of our infrastructure, industry and real estate are in foreign hands? Are we to nationalise it or buy it back? And when we trade with other blocs and countries post-Brexit, deals with them will have to be negotiated and their terms considered especially when dealing with more powerful nations. We are historically, geographically and culturally inseparable from Europe.
Brexiteers be careful what you wish for.
Yours etc, Alan Turner, Pennant, Llanon.
