Madam,

I regard it as some achievement that I have been castigated by name in four letters out of five in the Cambrian News regarding St Winefride’s Church.

I must say that marking the end somewhat of a three-month recuperation from major surgery, it provided my wife and myself with considerable amusement at the ceaseless bombardment of letters on this subject which defy intelligence and common sense. Perhaps the amount of personal abuse is a realisation that the truth of the matter is ‘itting ‘ard at ‘ome.

Seriously, this continuing correspondence is as past its sell-by date as is the church itself, and surely has reached the necessary level of tedium for the rest of your readers to close this exchange of letters from this time onwards.
