Madam,
In the past, when I have been invited to attend a clinic in Bronglais Hospital the simple routine was to ring the hospital and arrange a time. The system worked smoothly and efficiently. Last week I received a similar request, the difference being that I was to ring a new 0300 number. Since then I have tried to contact the office concerned about 10 times. Firstly their computers were down. Then I was advised to ring later due to “an unusually large number of calls”. This response has continued. It is fairly obvious that there are insufficient operators at the other end. This is yet one more example of the adage “If you want to wreck a perfectly good system centralise it”. Well done Hywel Dda!
Yours etc
