A charity in Blaenau Ffestiniog is hoping to break a world record tomorrow (Sunday) with its latest fundraising event.
The St David’s Day event, organised by Grandma’s Attic, starts tomorrow (Sunday) at 1pm, and will see the charity attempt to enter the Guinness Book of World Records for the most number of people stood on a rugby pitch wearing a Wales shirt.
A small entry fee will be charged for taking part and all of the proceeds will go towards the charity’s minibus appeal.
Trustee Sam Mountford-Tilley said: "The fun day is now fully organised with three different local performers who will be on the stage alongside the DJ.
“At 3pm we plan to move everyone onto the rugby pitch whilst the Welsh National Anthem will be playing.
"If everything goes to plan we are also having a small fairground and craft stalls.
"We also have outdoor caterers and the rugby club will open the bar and serve cold snacks."
The recent storms have been a concern for Sam, but organisers remain optimistc.
"We keep checking the weather and currently it looks like we will be lucky, as long as no other storm decides to hit us," Sam said.
