CHRISTIANS from Harlech to Barmouth joined together last Friday to inaugurate a new Calvary garden at Aber Artro Hall, Llanbedr.

They walked through a 14-station Way of the Cross, marked by birch plaques or hand-crafted tableaux.

At each station, the unfolding story of Christ’s trial and journey to Calvary was told by Monsignor Alex Rebello, Roman Catholic Parish priest of St Tudwal’s, Barmouth and St David’s Harlech, and by Canon Beth Bailey who heads the Bro Ardydwy Ministry of the Church in Wales. Closing prayers were said by Evie Morgan Jones of Capel y Ddôl, Llanbedr.

Afterwards a lenten lunch was held to raise funds for Aid to the Church in Need, which supports poor and persecuted Christians overseas.
