A cinema in Tywyn will again this year open its doors on Christmas Day to anyone who is alone or would like to join other members of the community to celebrate.
The Magic Lantern Cinema is entering into the Christmas spirit by welcoming anyone in need of company for an afternoon of food, entertainment and a festive film.
This year the cinema is opening up to not only individuals who are lonely but also couples and families who may not see anyone else around the festive period.
Tickets are free but the venue would like to hear from anyone who wants to attend.
“Please let us know if you are coming and also if you would like to eat so we can make sure we have the right amount of food,” a spokesperson said.
Tickets are available from the cinema.
You can call 01654 710260 or send an email to [email protected] to reserve yours, or pop in and collect them.
The cinema is also looking for volunteers to help out, both in the lead-up and on the day of the event.
If you would like to help, you can email [email protected]
The cinema needs people to deliver leaflets, put up posters and generally spread the word.
The cinema will be open from 11am until 4pm on Christmas Day, with mulled wine and minced pies on arrival.
There will be a buffet lunch between 12pm and 2pm at which time there will be the showing of a classic Christmas film.
