A TRACTOR run has raised £700 for a West Wales charity set up to support agricultural workers.

The Talgarreg Vintage Club or as they call it in Talgarreg - Clwb Hen Peirianau Talgarreg, last week made a presentation of £700 to the DPJ Foundation.

The money was raised during a tractor run held in May, when 37 tractors took to the local roads in convoy.

The money raised during the run will go to the DPJ Foundation, which was set up in Pembrokeshire in July 2016 following the death of Daniel Picton-Jones.

Daniel’s suicide rocked the community, and his wife Emma realised very quickly the lack of support that was available for those suffering with poor mental health in rural communities.

It was announced at Daniel’s funeral that a fund would be set up that would provide support to those, like Daniel, who were suffering from poor mental health. The foundation has gone on to raise huge amounts of money for the cause.
