Following the success of the annual Year 11 Botwnnog School coffee evening which was held in November and raised nearly £6,000 to mostly local charities, the pleasurable task of handing out the cash has recently began.
The coffee evening committee decided that a sum of £1,000 should be donated to Gwynedd and Môn Mind and be used in particular for young people who suffer and need their support.
