‘Cofiwch Dryweryn’ graffiti has been popping up all over the Llyn after the famous landmark was vandalised.

The stone wall graffiti near Llanrhystud in Ceredigion, which calls on motorists to remember the valley of Tryweryn that was flooded in the 1960s to provide Liverpool with water, was vandalised last weekend for the second time this year.

Volunteers rushed to the scene and rebuilt the wall on the A487 and since then graffiti bearing the words ‘Cofiwch Dryweryn’ has been appearing all over Wales.

Over the weekend, a ‘Cofiwch Dryweryn’ sign appeared near the beach in Nefyn and along a stone wall above the village of Aberdaron.
