FUNDRAISERS have braved freezing temperatures by spending a night outdoors to raise cash for a Pwllheli church and to highlight the plight of the poor.
Father Huw Bryant, Sheila Jones, Gwyn Jones, Baden Roberts were joined by other fundraisers throughout the day which involved spending 24 hours outside Pwllheli’s St Peter’s Church.
The fundraiser contributed towards a campaign, which has so far raised over £2,500, to help raise funds to renew St Peter’s Church which is in urgent need of repair after the building’s roof began leaking.
Father Bryant said: “The sleep out went very well, it was certainly a tough and cold experience!
“People’s response has been immense. There are still a few bits of money coming in but we’ve raised just over £2,500 so far!"
