Quiz night

The Ceredigion committee of the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution will be holding a quiz night at the rugby club on Friday, 22 June at 7.30pm.

The quiz is raising money for farming families in financial need, and RABI chairman Malcolm Thomas will be asking the questions.

Teams of four are welcome to take part and the entry fee of £7.50 per person (£5 for children of school age) includes sausage and chips.

RABI is a welfare charity which helps farmers and farmworkers of all ages, giving out grants of around £2 million each year.

RABI regional manager for Wales, Linda Jones, said: “We’re fortunate to receive tremendous support from the farming sector, from people who recognise the work we do. Accidents and illness continue to dominate our casework, illustrating that you never know what’s around the corner.”

Ceredigion committee chair Euros Davies added: “Our quiz nights are always a lot of fun and I know that Malcolm Thomas has once again prepared some interesting and challenging questions.

“I hope people come out in force to support us because many of our rural businesses depend on farmers for their livelihoods.”
