Window competition

THIS year’s competition will start on Thursday, 15 November.

It has been decided to slightly change the format. Every participating business will have a card in the window with a picture of the ketch Cadwgan on it. But each picture will have a different name on the ship, all the names are of ships that were built in Aberaeron.

Forms will be available from JR Evans, the shoe shop, from Thursday 15 November or can be downloaded from www.aberaeron.info.

Forms need to be completed and put in the box in J R Evans by 4pm on Thursday, 29 November. There will be three prizes, two for primary school age children and one open prize.

Community Christmas

THIS year’s event takes place on Saturday, 1 December, and the committee is planning some changes.

Free mulled wine and cawl will be served and pupils from Aberaeron Primary School will be taking part in a lantern parade.

There will, of course, be the usual spectacular arrival of Father Christmas.

It is planned that stalls will be open from noon.
