Last week’s runners-up, Mike Jones and John Valentine were first this week, with a score of 71 per cent.

Gwen Davies and Brian Thomas were second and Jen Harris and Virginia Willey were third.

This was the last evening’s bridge session of the year.

The club meets again on 3 January to play and hold its New Year party.

Afternoon tuition for beginners and improvers will reconvene on Wednesday, 10 January at 1pm in the Royal British Legion Hall.

They have had notification that a new Welsh Bridge Union green-pointed masterpoint competition, the Champion of Champions, will take place on Sunday, 17 March at the Metropole Hotel, Llandrindod, in which the Champion Pair from each club in Wales will compete against other club’s Champions.
