Bridge club

THE winners on 22 August were Dai Hayes and Ron Jones. Gwenda Davies and George Kinchington were second and Gill Howells and Keith Bellamy were third.

Sally Davies and Ted Morgan were the winners on 29 August with a score of 65 per cent. Keith Bellamy and Mike Fellows were second and Dai and Ron were third.

Each of these pairs bid and made 6 No Trumps on Board 19 while Mike Jones and John Valentine as well as Keith and Mike bid and made 6 Clubs on Board 25.

The improvers’ afternoon sessions start again at 1pm on Wednesday, 4 September.

Aberaeron Bridge Club continues to meet in the Royal British Legion Hall each Thursday at 6.40pm.

THE new season starts on Thursday, 19 September at 1.30pm at Peniel Vestry.

The first guest speaker of the season will be Bronwen Morgan, who will talk on Welsh Folklore.
