WI

PRESIDENT Eleanor Evans welcomed everyone to the first meeting of the WI year.

There were a few matters arising, mostly dealing with events happening over the Christmas period.

Eleanor then went through the WI newsletter and correspondence.

As there was very little other business, the social part of the evening started with several games of Snowman Drive, which created much laughter, noise and seat changing.

After six games, all points were added up and Anne Evans was declared the winner, with Anne Crick runner-up.

While the refreshments were being set out, the raffle was drawn and the lucky winner was Eira Evans Jones.

All then tucked into mince pies, Welsh cakes and Pannatone cake washed down with glasses of sherry and port.

A good way to end the year.

The next meeting will be on Wednesday, 8 January at 7pm in the British Legion Hall.
