Quiz night

ONCE again, the Aberaeron Memorial Hall fundraising quiz night proved to be a huge success with 18 teams competing in a fun-filled evening.

Thanks were given to quizmaster Robert ‘Bamber Gascoigne’ Thomas and Rhodri and Ffion Jones for all their considerable hard work in organising the quiz.

The winners were the Old Duffers: Geoff White, Tony Ging, Ken Phillips and Noel Edmunds.

Remembrance Service

ON Sunday, 13 November, the annual Remembrance Service will be held at the Memorial Hall at 3.30pm.

Friends of the Hall

THE Friends of Aberaeron Memorial Hall will host a fun fund¬raising evening of wine tasting, tabnabs and teasers, organised by Caru Gwin, on Friday, 18 November, at 7.30pm.

Cymdeithas Aberaeron

HISTORIAN and biographer Prof Angela John will give this month’s talk on a subject close to her heart.

Angela is a native of Port Talbot and her talk titled Behind the Scenes is about the rich seam of acting talent that runs through the area.

From Burton, Hopkins and Sheen, not to mention Ivor Emmanuel and Rob Brydon, to the current crop of up-and-coming hopefuls, Angela will bring their history to life at the usual time of 7.30pm on Tuesday, 15 November, in the Tabernacl Vestry.
