Craft Workshop
HUTS Workshop has been fortuate in receiving Intermediate Care Funding to run a pilot project for people with learning disabilities until the end of March 2017.
The project is entitled ‘Little HUTS Bach’, and will be offering a craft workshop across four sessions per week in the Memorial Hall.
The sessions will run from 10am to 12.45pm and from 1.15pm until 4pm on Mondays and Thursdays. People wishing to attend will have to be referred.
The aim is to reach those with milder learning disabilities as it is these people who tend to be more marginalised with less services available to them. The aim of offering craft workshops is to provide a safe, friendly, supportive space in which to explore creativity and to increase skills and confidence. It will also provide a means to socialise, make friends, and improve mental health and wellbeing.

A SUCCESSFUL coffee morning was recently arranged by members of the Aberaeron branch.
All were welcomed by chairman Neris Lloyd and explained that Geraint Pugh, who was due to officially open the coffee morning was unable to be present, but he had supported the cause with a generous donation.
It was a delight to welcome two pupils from Ysgol Gynradd Aberaeron who presented a donation of £232, and Neris also referred to a donation received from the Cobs festival.
A total of £1,005.62 has been raised to date from this event in addition to the donations referred to above. We look forward to further fundraising activities in 2017.
