Sports club

THE mayor of Aberaeron, Cllr Rhys Davies, will be attending the Aberaeron Sports Club Open Day on Monday, 1 May, at 2.30pm.

This is the official opening of the green for the 2017 season and the chairman Roger Jones will roll the first jack and the mayor will bowl the first wood. This will be followed by some tennis and bowls games, finishing with a buffet. Anyone who wants to learn to play tennis or bowls is welcome.

Memorama

THE production for May is a murder mystery comedy entitled Murder Afoot! by Kurt Naerum. It will be performed on three nights from 4 to 6 May at the Memorial Hall at 7.30pm. Tickets are now available from the Box Office.

Minis on the Prom

ON Sunday, 30 April, from 11am Aberaeron will host the Minis on the Prom Festival, where Quay Parade will once again be festooned with a multitude of multicoloured classic Mini cars. This year the Minis are supporting the Town Improvement Committee’s appeal to purchase a new emergency First Responder vehicle.
