WI

THE December meeting was held in the British Legion Hall, where 25 members met to hold a members’ evening.

President Neris Lloyd welcomed everyone, including four guests from Llwyncelyn WI and one from Llanarth WI. All the business matters were discussed, and reminders given of the Christmas lunch at the Feathers on 13 December.

Then, all members were given the rules of the Snowman Drive and the race to complete a snowman was on. The winner moved on to the next table and the loser moved to a table the other way, and another race began.

Much laughter and fun was had before the game was over. The overall winner was Margaret Morgan.

Neris Lloyd thanked Karen Wright, the secretary, who had set up the game.

Festive refreshments of sherry, fruit juice and mince pies were served by Sally Davies, Linda Hughes and Gloria Davies.

The raffle was won by Sylvia Henson before the visitors thanked members for an enjoyable evening.

The next meeting is on Wednesday, 3 January, in the British Legion Hall.
