THEY went to the golf course on 21 August for the monthly luncheon outing.
Ones that joined were transport - ed by the many car owners, so no coach this time.
Fifty-four of the club members were greeted by the chairlady.
The clubhouse was well suited for this group, with plenty of space, especially for the six members in wheelchairs.
When all had found seats, Jean, assisted by Sylvia, did the rounds with the raffle tickets and then, as lunch wasn’t quite ready, the 750 club draw took place with five lucky members, being present, having their cheques handed to them.
Lunch was then ready to line up and be served with an excellent meal, followed by mouth watering sweets.
After tea and coffee were handed round, the raffle proceeded with lots of very interesting prizes to be had.
The chairlady gave a vote of thanks to the staff for a most enjoyable meal.
Audrey, social secretary, reminded all that the next outing on 18 September is to Pencarreg, Llanrhystud.
Then it was time to leave and drive down the narrow road back to town after a very good day out.

Côr Meibion
ON Friday evening, Côr Meibion Aberystwyth gave the last of its three performances on the Promenade Bandstand, as part of the summer events programme coordinated by Aberystwyth Town Council.
Singing to a capacity audience, the choir gave a varied programme in Welsh and English, with a strong international flavour which began with Gweddi Affricanaidd (Nkosi Sikele-le Africa) and ended with American Trilogy .
The singing of the hymn Gwahoddiad was dedicated to the memory of Anna Evans, whose tragic death was announced last week and who had a family connection with the choir.
The evening’s programme included solo items by Alun John (bass - Some Enchanted Evening and Cân yr Arad Goch ) and Alwyn Evans (tenor – Gymru Fach , Yn bedair oed and Yr Hen Gerddor ).
Also, Côr Meibion Aberystwyth’s repertoire included solo contributions by Howard Jones and Glyn Jones.
The choir was led by musical director Alwyn Evans, with Elenid Thomas as accompanist, and the compère for the evening was Hywel Wyn Jones.
