Charity ride
TWO self-confessed MAMILs (middle-aged men in lycra) this week embarked on an epic 340-mile cycle ride to raise money for charity.
Arfon Roberts of Bro Eryl and Dilwyn Morgan, Tegid Street, have been a familiar sight over the past few weeks as they put in the hard yards to train for a charity ride from Bristol to Dublin, via Fishguard.
The duo, who are representing local company Aykroyd and Sons, set off from Bristol on Tuesday and are due to arrive in Dublin on Friday.
Aykroyd and Sons are heavily involved with supporting the Brain Tumour Charity, one of the charities who will benefit from the charity ride.
The Light Fund Charity will be raising hundreds of thousands of pound for charities in aid of the elderly, disadvantaged children, terminally ill children and African communities without clean water.
