ON Monday, 29 July, the newly formed Bala satellite Rotary group joined forces with the established Bala & Penllyn Rotary.

The satellite group of Glannau Tegid was formed two-and-a-half years ago after numbers fell in Bala & Penllyn.

This new group gained members of differing age, gender and disabilities, making the newly-merged group a diverse and exciting one to join.

The past president of Bala & Penllyn, Adrian Murray, instigated the satellite group (see photo).

The group welcomes inquiries about joining and is looking for those 18 or over who wish to volunteer their time to benefit the community and also those of national and international interest.

The family fun day this year is on Bank Holiday Monday, 26 August, at The Pavilion, Castle Street. It will include a bouncy castle, soft play, barbecue and much more!
