AFTER all the excitement of last month’s centenary celebrations, the December meeting of the institute was a quieter affair, but still full of festive fun.

President Kath Hoyle welcomed all the members present. Business was kept to a minimum. Various items from the Federation Newsletter were read and discussed.

Two presentations were made by president Kath; one to treasurer Olwen Jones and one to secretary Beryl Roberts, in recognition of all their hard work, especially this last 12 months.

The fun part of the evening then followed. A mixture of country dancing, a monologue and carol singing.

A spokesperson for the institute said: “The dancing was hilarious.

“The more mistakes were made, the more fun and laughter abounded.

“This was followed by a festive supper, the raffle and finally the Hokey Cokey.”

The next meeting will be held at the Canolfan Bro Tegid on 12 January at 7pm. New members always welcome.
