THE first meeting of 2017 was held at the Canolfan Bro Tegid on Thursday, 12 January.

President Kath Hoyle welcomed all present and wished everyone a Happy New Year.

Bala’s longest-serving member, Mari Jones, celebrates her 90th birthday this month. Members sang Happy Birthday to her as she was presented with a bouquet of flowers to mark the occasion.

The business followed; previous minutes were read, confirmed and signed and the Federation Newsletter was discussed.

Members had been asked to study the Resolutions shortlist in the WI Life magazine (November/December issue). After some discussion at this meeting, they were asked to choose their preferred resolution. The results will be forwarded to federation.

With business concluded, members enjoyed tea, biscuits and a good old-fashioned natter.

The next meeting will be held at the Canolfan Bro Tegid on 9 February at 7pm. New members are always welcome.
