Bowls

THE John Evans (John Pembank) of Dolgellau Bowls Trophy Competition was held at the bowling club in Barmouth for the second year.

It was a great afternoon weather-wise and this year it was won by Pam Payton, of Barmouth who is a member of Dolgellau Age Well Centre.

It was done as a knock-out competition cheered on by a local crowd. Organisers look forward to another competition this time next year which is opened to all Age Well Members.

Cabaret

BARMOUTH Mawddach Lodge Freemasons have organised a fundraising cabaret and dinner at Min y Môr for Saturday, 3 December.

The professional entertainers are singer Colin Gibson and magician Andy Lochran which along with the excellent food will guarantee a superb evening’s entertainment.

Bluegrass

ON Friday night the Dragon Theatre will welcome The Boggy Mountain Boys for a Bluegrass night. More details from the box office on 01341 281697.

Valuation

FRIDAY will see the antique valuation day, organised by Mawddach Rotary, being held at the Dragon Theatre between 10am and 2pm.
