League

EVAN G Williams presided over the Ffestiniog League of Friends and District Nurses AGM and with Nia Williams unable to attend, Wyn Thomas from the Health Board took her place and apologised that the League’s plaque has not been placed in the Memorial Centre.

He has passed the work of doing so to Eirian Williams the practice manager as soon as possible.

Mr Thomas was anxious to know if the Health Board had contacted the League to buy provisions for the Medical Centre and if not he would prepare a full list of which is needed there.

At present there is no information about the future use of the former health centre, but the site of the former x-ray building is now a car park.

It was stated that around 40 clinics were at the new Centre and it is likely the league is welcomed to use one of its rooms for their meetings after consulting with Eirian Williams, the practice manager.

As for league the following have been elected: chair - Evan G Williams; vice chair - Gwilym Price; treasurer - Sarah Davies; assistant treasurer - Melinda Smith; secretary - Bethan W Jones; assistant secretary - Enid Roberts and press officer - Neris Thomas.
