Sports

THE Blaenau Amateurs Barritt Cup home match against Mynydd Llandegai was postponed due to the recent heavy rainfall.

This Saturday they are home to Llanrug in a Welsh Alliance Division 1 encounter with a 2pm kick off.

Also postponed was Bro Ffestiniog XV home WRU Division 1 match against Llandudno.

Parties

IT is that time of the year for members of many organisations and clubs to enjoy their annual Christmas party or dinner.

Among those were the staff of the Memorial Health Centre, the members of the Ffestiniog Walking Club, and the staff of the Bryn Blodau home. Members of Clwb Dwyryd had their final Christmas dinner last Tuesday at the Chwarelwr as the club ended, having dwindled down to just a few members, having at one time some 50 members.

Choirs

SYLVIA Ann Jones conducted the Rhiannedd y Moelwyn Ladies Choir, with Awen Roberts as the accompanist, in a carol singing evening at the Pengwern Arms where they were joined by soloist Gerallt Roberts from Trawsfynydd.

The choir also visited the Bryn Blodau Home at Ffestiniog where they sang to the residents and staff.

Then on Friday evening Sylvia returned to Llan Ffestiniog as she conducted the Moelwyn Male Choir, with Wenna Francis Jones as the accompanist, as they entertained the staff and residents of the Bryn Blodau Residential Home.

The Moelwyn Choir will be carol singing at the Royal Oak Hotel in Betws y Coed this Friday evening.

St David’s

SUNDAY, 15 December and 22 December: 11am service as usual.

Christmas eve: midnight communion service at St David’s at 11.30pm.

Sunday, 29 December: the service is at St Twrog’s Church, Maentwrog at 10.30am.

Raffle

GLENYS Lloyd organised a raffle at the RWF Club’s bingo night for the local gymnastics club, which raised £103.

Session

THE final session of the month of break time board games and colouring to relax will be held at the library this Friday from 10am until 1pm and also from 2pm until 4pm.

Clwb Merched

CAFODD y Clwb Merched eu cinio Nadolig yn Seren ar 10 Rhagfyr.

Dymunwyd gwellhad buan i rai o ffyddloniaid y clwb oedd yn absennol oherwydd salwch a dymuniadau gorau’r tymor i’r aelodau i gyd.

Bydd y tymor newydd yn dechrau ar 14 Ionawr.
