FOLLOWING a sign being placed on the electric BT phone box in the town centre which said that it was to be removed, and which the town council believed would be suitable for a defibrillator or other use, the council would put in an offer to BT for its purchase.
Sports
BLAENAU Amateurs’ recent matches ended in a 1-1 draw at Nantlle Vale then a 4-1 defeat at home to Llandudno Albion last Saturday and they are at Greenfield this Saturday.
Bro Ffestiniog XV suffered a cup tie home defeat to Nant Cony and were then beaten 15-8 at home to Bala in a WRU Division 1 match last month.
On Saturday they were beaten 18-10 at Cobra.
Shed
AS a shed in the skate park, owned by the town council and leased by the Ffestiniog Canoe Club and Antur Stiniog, has lapsed for some time, the council was to contact the tenants for them to empty the shed of any equipment and return the keys to the council.

THE art exhibition by the members of the Gweithdy group, which has been on display at the Maenofferen Gallery, ends his week.
Wifi
CLLR Bedwyr Gwilym has told the town council that the community wifi is now live, but the arrangements for users to pay to use the service was not then in service.
A training course was held at the Oakley Arms Hotel, organised by Menter Môn and attended by members of the town council.
The council also said that the Welsh language was incorrect on the Welsh input pages of the wifi but plans to correct the Welsh language had been undertaken by Menter Môn.
Planning
FOLLOWING a planing application to convert the Wynnes Arms public house at Manod into five flats, with the erection of a rear extension with parking spaces, the town council has received a letter from a resident in Manod objecting the application.
The council decided to discuss the matter further at a regulatory committee meeting, the result of which has not been released.
Service
AFTER 30 years as a local retained fire serviceman, Gerallt Lloyd Jones from Tyddyn Gwyn, Manod retired on 31 December and he was thanked for his loyal support to the service and the area.
Dementia
FOLLOWING a recent fundraising events at the local day centre and the Hafan Deg, Bryn Blodau a sum of £374.50 was raised to the Dementia Screening at Cellb.
