Golden wedding

Choir

THE Moelwyn Male Voice Choir were in concert at Betws y Coed on Friday evening, conducted by Sylvia Ann Jones accompanied by Wenna Francis Jones and the compere was Gareth Griffiths.

Sports

BLAENAU Amateurs FC are through to the next round of the Welsh Trophy after their home 3-2 win over Gaerwen on Saturday and they are at Llandudno Junction in the next round and at Mynydd Llandegai this week. The reserves were beaten 10-0 at Waunfawr and are home to Bethesda this Saturday.

Bro Ffestiniog XV were home to Colwyn Bay who were promoted with Bro to the WRU Division 1 North last season and in a thrilling match Bro won by 32-28 and this Saturday they are away at Bala.

Macmillan

THE library will host a Macmillan coffee morning between 10.30 and 12.30 on 28 September to raise money for such a worthy cause.

Clwb Cerdded

ROEDD aelodau Clwb Cerdded Stiniog i fod i gael penwythnos yng nghylch Aberystwyth, ond mae pethau wedi newid, felly gofynnir iddynt gyfarfod ger Ty Gorsaf am 9yb. Bydd taith arall wedi ei threfnu erbyn hynny.

Siop Siarad

THE September meeting of Siop Siarad, the local social group for Welsh learners will be held on 11am on Saturday, 24 September, at the Bridge Cafe and learners and fluent Welsh speakers are invited to come along for an informal chat and a cup of tea.

GYDA Gwyl Cerdd Dant yn dod i’r Blaenau yn 2018 mae’r pwllgor gwaith lleol yn cael cyfarfod i drafod ei threfnu yn Ysgol y Moelwyn am 7.30 nos Fercher nesaf gan obeithio fydd cynrychiolaeth dda yn bresennol.

Nos Iau, 29 Medi bydd Côr y Brythoniaid a Seindorf yr Oakley yn rhoi cyngerdd yn Ysgol y Moelwyn i godi arain at yr wyl, y ddau wedi bod yn fuddudgol yn yr Eisteddfod Genedlaethol eleni.
